About The Outpost at Ferguson Farms
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Our History
Ferguson Farms is a 6th-generation family farm located in the beautiful mountain community of Fines Creek, North Carolina.

Amber and Marquis Ferguson and their 3 children Layla, James, and John, live in the original farmhouse built in 1880 along with Marquis’s grandfather, James Ferguson. James is 84 and was born in the house he still sleeps in today. Amber and Marquis operate WMF Land Services as well as the family farm. They homeschool kids and raise animal vegetables and bees.

Tracy is Marquis’s mom and grandmother to those 3 beautiful kids. She relocated to Florida years ago and runs a successful catering company in Orlando along with her Chef/Builder/jack-of-all-trades partner Luis who came to the US from Havana in 1996 to live the American Dream.

Together all of their collective skills pointed them toward The Outpost at Ferguson Farms. Years of experience in hospitality, managing vacation rentals, homesteading, and building and it was a perfect fit.
